ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Scott A. Hall. I'm a third generation truck driver, having been in the trucking industry for over 15 years. I have worked at the small terminals and I've worked at the big ones. I started in the trenches as a part time dock worker. From there I held positions like dock supervisor, city dispatch to operations supervisor. About 7 years ago, I finally wised up and got my class A license. One of the best things I have ever done. After a little OTR, I "settled down" and now run a long distance delivery route for a food service company in Sacramento. I live in Northern California with my wife Dee (the real web designer).

So, "why the site?", you may ask! Well, I began this site for a couple of reasons. First off, in memory of my Grandfather, Ivan. He began this wonderful family tradition, instilling in me the knowledge that trucking has always been and always will be, an honorable profession. Secondly, for my Uncle. On February 12th, 2004, Gary W. Davis was killed while on the job. He was an 18 year trucking veteran, holding the job of Lead Driver for an LTL transportation company in Sacramento. After doing hours of research, we could find nothing that memorialized fallen truckers. With trucking being classified as one of the most dangerous jobs one could have, and to adequately memorialize my Uncle and Grandfather, we wanted to allow others to share their fondest memories of their "remembered trucker" and never let our fallen truckers and loved ones be forgotten.

So share your stories. Tell your friends. And the next time you pass an 18-wheeler, think about the sacrifices that driver has made to keep our goods moving...across the country, through the state or down the street!! ALL GIVE SOME.......SOME GIVE ALL!
